Five-time Tony Award-winning director Susan Stroman and Tony nominee Robyn Hurder joined MSNBC's Morning Joe to discuss SMASH, the new Broadway musical based on the NBC series now playing at the Imperial Theatre.
In the April 1, 2025 segment, Stroman explained why SMASH is "very meta" and unlike anything else on Broadway. Hurder shared her experience portraying the iconic Marilyn Monroe, while Stroman provided insights into the creative process behind bringing this show-within-a-show to the stage.
