Created by director-choreographer Susan Stroman and book writer John Weidman, this groundbreaking work went on to win the Tony Award for Best Musical, and the show's final Broadway performance was broadcast on PBS, winning a Primetime Emmy Award.
Contact marked an important milestone in Stroman's career as it was her debut as a Director and Choreographer—a dual role she would continue in numerous subsequent Broadway productions.
