The Royal Variety Performance aired on Sunday evening, with the Prince and Princess of Wales in attendance, alongside fellow royals Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden. Prince William appeared to especially enjoy himself, at one point in the evening being spotted crying with laughter, as several viewers pointed out on social media!
The heir to the throne was clearly tickled by comedian Tom Allen's set, and he could be seen in hysterics, rubbing his eyes with the back of his hand and laughing before clapping enthusiastically.
The star-studded event, which William and Kate attended for the first time in 2014, also featured a performance of "O Holy Night" by singer and Ted Lasso actress, Hannah Waddingham. Also on the bill were singer and actress Beverley Knight alongside West End musicals including Sister Act and The Little Big Things. The cast of Crazy for You, starring the electric Charlie Stemp, performed the award winning tap routine to “I Got Rhythm.”
William and Kate entered the event with beaming smiles before they settled into the balcony with the Swedish royals while the crowd was giving them a standing ovation.
Kate wore a show-stopping gown which featured flared sleeves and statement shoulders, plus a gem-encrusted high-neck. The gala night took place at London's Royal Albert Hall and much like years before, the show is in aid of the Royal Variety Charity, and the money raised will help people in the entertainment world in need of care and assistance.
